Shah to come to Haldwani in Oct for millet festival

In latest news from Dehradun, the Union home minister Amit Shah is coming to Haldwani in October to participate in the Shri Anna (Millets) Mahotsav. The State agriculture and farmers’ welfare minister Ganesh Joshi announced this after reviewing preparations for this festival slated in Haldwani on October 7 and 8 with the senior departmental officials. Notably, this chapter of the millet festival would be held in the ground of MB Inter-College in Haldwani. Joshi further informed that Shah would actively participate in the festival on both these days. Besides, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would participate along with the agriculture ministers of the States known for large-scale millet cultivation, he added. To recall, the first millet festival was held in Dehradun in May and the United Nations declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets.
