Shatabdi Express coach catches fire, all passengers safe
A coach of the New Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express caught fire while passing through the Rajaji tiger reserve area on Saturday. There were no injuries as the locomotive pilot stopped the train after which the passengers of the affected coach were shifted to other coaches.
According to the railways officials, the C-5 coach of the train caught fire at about 12:20 PM in the Kansro area after which the locomotive pilot stopped the train. The passengers in the affected coach were shifted to other coaches while the one on fire was detached from the train which then left for Dehradun railway station. The fire brigade was called to the site while officials of the railways and forest department also reached the site.
