While speaking of the gallantry and greatness of the 17th century legendary Maratha warrior Shivaji on the eighth day of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Katha’ organised at University of Patanjali in Haridwar on Tuesday, Swami Govind Dev said that Shivaji had never had anyone’s prayer place demolished. “But he restored temples if the latter were demolished by others to build their own prayer halls,” he said and added that as per historical evidence, he had restored two temples inTiruvannamalai.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Ramdev said that with India having become a robust republic on attaining freedom from alien rule, it is now time to launch the freedom movement in the sphere of medicines. “We should now take it upon ourselves to promote the cause of Ayurveda and it will take the knowledge and research of Maharishi Charak and Maharishi Sushruta to the whole world,” he said.
