A fresher’s party was organised at Shivalik College of Engineering in Dehradun to welcome the new students on Monday. The director of the college Prahlad Singh welcomed the students and chief guests in the event and shared his life experiences with them. It was a colourful affair with several dance performances from students including folk dance, solo dance and group dance performances. Students also participated in the competition of ramp walk, group singing, mimicry and poetry at the event.
The students who won in each category were rewarded at the end of the event by the chief guest Aman Sharma, the title winner of Mr Uttarakhand. The new students Anees Samantha and Ayushi were selected as Mr and Miss fresher respectively. The vice chairman (VC) of the college Ajay Kumar said that such events help the students to hone the skills that help them in their future. He welcomed new students to the college and wished them the best for their future.
