The founder of Matri Sadan, Swami Shivanand has questioned the Special Task Force (STF) investigation into the case of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak. Addressing the media here on Friday, he alleged that the STF is focusing on minor players in the scam while the main and bigger culprits are not being arrested. Referring to the demand from some quarters for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation, Shivanand opined that a CBI probe will be useless as the bureau is also influenced. In such a situation, the government should seriously investigate this scam by forming an special investigation team (SIT) under the leadership of an honest officer. If this scam is investigated honestly and properly, many big people will also be found involved in it, he said.
Apart from this, he also questioned the changed policies regarding mining in the Ganga. He said that due to the changed policies regarding mining in Ganga, some politicians have earned profits in crores of rupees. He also sought a probe into this matter so that those indulging in illegal mining in the Ganga region can be arrested and punished.
