SI suspended for sexually assaulting a woman

In latest news from Doon, a police officer presently working as the in-charge of Mayur Vihar police station in Dehradun Manoj Bhatt has been suspended for allegedly abusing a woman sexually. Police have filed a case against the accused under several sections of relevant acts. Meanwhile, investigation is going on.
Sharing details, the senior superintendent of police Dehradun Ajai Singh said that the suspended police officer and the complainant woman had become friends when the former was the in-charge of the Kuthal Gate police chowkie and the latter met him in connection with a theft that occurred in her house. Later, their relation grew intimate and the accused cop would take her to his rented flat while posing as unmarried. Later, his wife came to know about the relation and told the woman that the man she was intimate with was her husband. Later, as per the woman’s complaint who is a yoga trainer, he threatened to kill her while brandishing his official pistol. It is also learnt that the complaint had studied in Canada and her husband is working in Canada.
Meanwhile, latching on to this matter, the chief spokesperson of the State Congress Garima Dasauni said that while the ruling BJP has been eulogising women as Matrishakti they on the other hand have been indulging the perpetrators of crimes against women. BJP and atrocities on women have become almost synonymous, she alleged.
