In latest news from Uttarakhand, the labourers who remained trapped in the Silkyara tunnel for 17 days and the tunnel rescue expert of international reputation Arnold Dix from Australia will attend the two-day Baukh Nag Mela slated to commence on November 25 in Silkyara. Dix has already confirmed his participation in the mela and said he was reaching Brahmakhal on November 24. Notably, Dix played a critical role in rescuing the trapped labourers.
Locals believed that the deity Baukh Nag to whom they had offered puja praying for the labourers’ rescue had saved their lives.
