The silver jubilee reunion of the officers of 103 Regular, 86 Technical and 07 University Entry Scheme (UES) course was held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on December 17 and 18. A total of 475 officers had passed out from the famed portals of IMA in December 1998. The ceremony commenced with all the officers remembering and paying tribute to their fallen comrades at the IMA war memorial. Relatives of the officers who had made the supreme sacrifice for the nation were also invited on this occasion. It was followed by a windshield tour around the academy to remember the training days at their alma mater. The officers came from all corners of the country and recalled the days spent in IMA under the best of instructors and ‘ustads’ who inculcated the finest qualities of leadership in them. These officers have served in command and staff assignments in all parts of the country as well as overseas. The course has numerous outstanding achievements, honours and awards for bravery and distinguished service to its credit including commanding some of the most prestigious units of the Indian Army. Some of the officers have taken premature retirement and have become entrepreneurs, while some others have joined the corporate world and have excelled in various fields.
