As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive of the electoral rolls in Uttarakhand, the process of distributing enumeration forms and filling them out is progressing rapidly in Nainital district, claimed the district Election department officials.
The drive began on June 8 with the department aiming to reach 100 per cent of voters and have them fill out the forms by June 18.
The Election department officials further shared that the forms have been distributed among 3, 81, 392 voters in Nainital district so far, which constitutes 49.85 per cent of the total voters of the district. “The booth level officers are going from door to door to reach the remaining voters and complete the drive by the stipulated time frame,” a senior department officer said The BLOs said that they have set a goal of reaching the remaining voters and getting them to fill out their forms in the next 10 days.
