SIT aiming to get remand of accused in Ankita Bhandari murder case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) P Renuka Devi is taking action to obtain the remand of the accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The team has also been directed to camp at Lakshman Jhula to carry out proper investigational proceedings related to the investigation of the case.
The authorities informed that the team has thoroughly inspected the murder site. The SIT received the post mortem report from AIIMS which has also been shown to the family members of the victim. The authorities said that the SIT is analysing all the physical evidence gathered from the crime scene as well as through electronic evidence like CCTV footage and mobile Call Detail Record (CDR) among other evidence.
The authorities are also carrying out the interrogation of the main witnesses and staff of the resort where the victim was working as a receptionist. The authorities are also investigating the guests who were present in the resort at the day of the murder.
