The state health department reported the death of six patients from Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Sunday. The department also reported 286 new cases of the disease in the state on the day. A total of 580 patients were declared cured from the disease on the day.
The state health department has so far detected 88,520 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 79,297 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 233 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 89.58 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.65 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of two patients each from Kailash hospital Dehradun and Himalayan hospital on Sunday. One patient each was reported dead at Military hospital Dehradun and Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on the day.
The health department reported 124 new patients from Dehradun, 41 from Chamoli and 30 from Haridwar on Sunday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 6,212. Dehradun with 2,865 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 993 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 41 active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 7,879 people were vaccinated in 710 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
