Six rebel Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders have been expelled for six years by the Uttarakhand party on Thursday before the state assembly elections. The action was taken on the instructions of the Uttarakhand BJP state president Madan Kaushik. According to the sources, the leaders have been expelled due to indiscipline and anti-party activities. The expelled leaders include Rajkumar Thukral, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Rudrapur and Mahavir Singh Rangad, former MLA from Dhanaulti. Apart from these, Jitendra Negi from Doiwala, Dhirendra Chauhan from Kotdwar, Manoj Shah from Bhimtal and Tika Prasad Maikhuri from Karnprayag have also been expelled from the party.
