NAC/ NIRF applications mandatory for them

In latest news from Dehradun, the State higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that solar rooftop panels would be installed in all the government-run universities and colleges across the State, adding that it would decrease these institutions’ electricity consumption expenses and the money to be saved thus would be pumped in enhancing the education standards in them. Besides, this initiative would help these institutions become green campuses, he added.
This aside, he stated that these institutions must mandatorily apply for accreditation by National Accreditation Council and National Institutional Ranking Framework.
The minister further said that additional rooms would be added to the existing ones to ensure that studies are done properly in view of possible increase in the number of students.
