The ninth independent mountain brigade commander Brigadier Aman Anand flagged off the first adventure expedition of the Indian Army and team of ‘Call Global’ from Auli on Wednesday. Named ‘Soul of the Steel’, the expedition aims to encourage the self-sustaining mountaineering in the border villages under the vibrant villages’ concept of Government of India.

This is the first adventure campaign which started on June 7 and will conclude on June 17. In the campaign, 23 participants will cover a distance of 65 kilometres covered with glaciers and snow at an altitude of 17,000 feet.
