In latest news from Uttarakhand, the people are now sowing seeds ritualistically ahead of Harela, the festival of greenery and prosperity which will be celebrated on July 16. As per the tradition popular across the State, particularly in Kumaon region, seeds of five crops are sown in bowls 10 to 11 days before the date slated for the celebration of the festival.
