In latest news from Uttarakhand, at the initiative of the Uttarkashi superintendent of police Arpan Yaduvanshi, a meeting was held involving village guards and investigators. The SP instructed them to strive continuously to improve law and order while cracking down on drug sale and consumption as well as cyber crimes. He urged the village guards to work as part of the police force to help the mission of drug-free Uttarakhand by 2025 become a reality. At the same time, he urged the investigators to conclude probe and dispose of complaints at the earliest. Further, he asked the investigators to take help of the cyber cell while dealing with cyber crimes. He asked both the village guards and the investigators to see to it that no sale/purchase of intoxicants is held in their localities and to inform the higher authorities if cannabis and opium farming is found anywhere in the district.
