Senior Samajwadi Party leader and its former Moradabad district president D P Yadav allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed revoler in his home soon after his return from Haridwar with his family. Police have started investigation and as per preliminary probe, he was suffering from depression and that made him to take the extreme step. Forensic team has also joined the investigation.
Notably, the SP removed him from the post of the party’s district president a few days before the election was held due to factionalism inside the district SP.
