Perturbed by the sight of members getting engaged with their mobile phones instead of concentrating on the proceedings of the house, the speaker Ritu Khanduri reprimanded the members on Wednesday. As soon as the proceedings of the day started the speaker was on her feet to warn the members. She said that on the first day of the session it was observed that many members were busy with their mobile phones.
The speaker added that it was also observed that many officers were gesturing from the visitor’s gallery. She warned the members to refrain from using phones during the proceedings of the house and said that disciplinary action would be taken against them if they continue to use phones in the house.
