The speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly Ritu Khanduri has directed the officials to set up an e – library in the Vidhan Sabha building. She gave this direction while undertaking an inspection of the Vidhan Sabha premises on Monday.
In the research section of the assembly and library she showed a keen interest and said that the library should be fully equipped and up to date because the MLAs and the staff members of Vidhan Sabha seek and gather information from it on various subjects. Khanduri directed the secretary of Vidhan Sabha, Mukesh Singhal to prepare a proposal for setting up an e- library in the Vidhan Sabha. She said that she herself is an avid reader so it is her priority to ensure that the library of her Vidhan Sabha is equipped and properly arranged.
The speaker also directed the officers to keep the premises clean. In her visit she inspected the sections and other areas. She also sought suggestions from the officers and employees on the occasion. The Vidhan Sabha secretary Mukesh Singhal, joint secretary Narendra Rawat and other officers were present on the occasion.
