Vidhan Sabha speaker Prem Chand Agarwal paid tribute to Sunder Lal Bahuguna and planted a Parijat sapling at his residence in Thano, Dehradun on the occasion of the veteran environmentalist’s Tehravi on Tuesday. He said that the late Bahuguna had consistently worked for the conservation of the environment and promotion of tree planting throughout his life.
Exhorting the public to seek inspiration from Bahuguna, Agarwal said that he too plants a sapling on all good occasions. Only a limited number of people were present on the occasion due to Covid guidelines. Bahuguna’s eldest son Rajiv Nayan Bahuguna, Pradeep Bahuguna, Subodh Bahuguna, environmentalist Anil Prakash Joshi, AAP leader Ajay Kothiyal and others were present on the occasion.
