Special Health camp organised at Lok Bhawan

The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University organised a one day special medical camp at Lok Bhawan on Monday.

In the camp comprehensive health check-ups, consultations and medical care was provided for the Lok Bhavan officials, employees and their families.

Governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh inspected the health camp and received information from doctors about the health check-up process, available facilities and the medical services being provided to patients.

On this occasion, the governor said, “Health awareness is the foundation of a good life. The good health of the Lok Bhavan family is my priority. He said that only when the personnel and their families are healthy, will they be able to discharge their responsibilities to their full potential.” Expressing gratitude to the doctors and medical staff who provided services at the camp, the Governor said that the Lok Bhavan family has benefited greatly from their expertise and dedication. In the camp, specialist doctors of Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Dentistry, Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology from Government Medical College Srinagar, Government Medical College Dehradun and Government Medical College Haridwar provided their services.

State-of-the-art endoscopy, X-ray , mammography, Pap smear and other facilities were made available in the camp. A total of 335 patients were consulted in the camp.

First Lady Gurmeet Kaur, secretary to the governor Ravinath Raman, legal advisor Kaushal Kishore Shukla, additional secretary Reena Joshi, vice chancellor of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University Dr Bhanu Duggal and others attended the camp.
