In latest news from Uttarakhand, with accident spree continuing unabated, at least four persons were killed and four others, injured as the car they were travelling in overturned near a mandi on Manglour highway in Roorkee. All were coming to Roorkee from Meerut to attend a wedding. The impact of the accident was so severe that it blew up into pieces and the mangled parts were scattered away from the mishap spot. Police rushed and had the injured admitted at a nearby hospital. They were later referred to a higher medical centre, given their deteriorating condition. They ascribed the accident to the excessive speed of the car.
