In an important decision taken to mark the completion of one year in office of Pushkar Singh Dhami government, the chief minister said that a sports university would come up in Haldwani to boost the sports talent inherent in Uttarakhand. CM took the decision following his discussion with the state government officers. The State sports minister Rekha Arya later said that the proposed sports university would come up on 100 acres of land and would encourage the youths endowed with sports talent to bring more laurels for the state at the international and national sports events.
