The Tehri district magistrate Mayur Dixit conducted an inspection of the Sri Dev Suman Government District Library located at Bouradi in New Tehri on Saturday to take stock of the renovation work going on on its ground floor. Under the District Plan, the first floor of the library has been made hi-tech to facilitate preservation of the old documents and books. Besides, competitive exam-related books have been made online.
After the first floor of the library was done, work has started to give a new look to the ground floor.
The DM stressed on completion of the work by March 2025. He also asked the authorities to keep adequate space for children to sit in, increase competitive exam-related materials, CCTV cameras, high- speed net connectivity and RO drinking water.
