State administration gearing up for President’s visit

The State administration is gearing up for the upcoming visit of the President Droupadi Murmu to Dehradun. The President would arrive on a two-day visit to the State on December 8. She would visit Raj Bhawan on Thursday and would stay at the Presidential house (Rashtrapati Ashiyana). On December 9 she would address the trainees at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie and then attend the convocation at Doon University in Dehradun.
On Tuesday the additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi took a review meeting with the officers of different departments at the chief minister’s residence to discuss the visit of the President. In the meeting final touches to the preparations for the visit of the President were made. Raturi directed the officers that all the arrangements for the visit of the President should be completed on time. She also inspected the rehearsal of the cultural programmes that would be held during the visit of the President. The secretary HC Semwal, secretary in-charge Vinod Kumar Suman, Deputy Inspector General of Garhwal range KS Nagnyal, Senior Superintendent of Police of Dehradun Daleep Singh Kunwar, director of culture Beena Bhatt and other officers were present in the meeting.
