The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that the budget presented by the State government in Gairsain on Wednesday was its attempt to copy the budget presented by the central government last month.

The spokesman of the Garhwal division of the party Ravindra Singh Anand said that the government has not considered the welfare of middle-class families, businessmen and farmers besides several other sections of the society even with the budget of Rs 77,407 crore. He said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami did not even feel the need to provide some relief to common people by providing subsidies for the skyrocketing rates of LPG cylinders. He said, “Dhami’s government just believes in making announcements rather than bringing them to the ground level for execution.

Several sections of society were neglected in the budget session and do not seem to be beneficial for a big section of society. The government tried quite hard to copy the budget of the central government rather than preparing a budget based on real concerns of the State’s public.” He said that only time will tell how effective the budget is for the public’s welfare.
