Micro blogging site Twitter has removed blue ticks from many of the big personalities of Uttarakhand like the Governor and the chief minister. The opposition Congress leaders have not been spared too. The blue ticks, deemed to be the status symbol of the twitter accounts, have been removed from the accounts of the former chief minister Harish Rawat, leader of the opposition Yashpal Arya, Pritam Singh and former state Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal. The same has happened to the former BJP chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Ramesh Pokhryal Nishank. However, the blur tick has remained intact in the twitter account of the present state Congress president Karan Mahara. Notably, the CEO Twitter has removed legacy verified blue ticks from the accounts of those who have failed to pay the monthly fee to keep them.
