In latest Uttarakhand news, the State sports minister Rekha Arya said that the State government has been going all-out to promote sports while providing the budding sportspersons with all kinds of facilities. She said this while addressing the annual ‘Sarvodaya Festival 2023’ organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at Moti Ram Babu Ram Government Post-Graduate College in Haldwani. She cited the Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana 2023 and said that stadiums are being built and integrated into Sports University to help the sports-inclined children practise and flourish. She also mentioned the monthly student scholarship of Rs 2000 being provided to the boys and girls. This was meant to cultivate the sports-related talent in the children of Uttarakhand so that they could evolve into outstanding sportspersons and bring laurels for the State.
