Stating that the State Government has failed to provide even basic facilities in hundreds of government schools in Uttarakhand as per the recent CAG report, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the BJP led government here has destroyed the schools rather than uplifting them. The state spokesman of the party Naveen Pirshali said that as per the recent CAG report, the state government has failed to provide water, electricity and basic sanitation facilities that clearly suggest that the education system of the government has completely failed here. He questioned the government how it will improve the education level in government schools if it cannot provide clean drinking water to students there.
Pirshali said that hundreds of government schools have been shut down and hundreds are being prepared to shut down under BJP while the remaining ones are in bad conditions. According to him, the government was issued a budget of Rs 19.04 crore under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to provide such basic facilities to children in government schools but as per the CAG report, no money was spent for this purpose from this budget. He said that the BJP led government has failed the education system here at every level and AAP will bring revolutionary changes in the education system as it did in Delhi.
