State govt have started virtual classes in 500 schools of the State: CM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government has made arrangements of virtual classes in 500 schools of the State.

 He was addressing a programme organised to felicitate meritorious students at Saraswati Vidhya Inter College, Haridwar on Thursday. He also inaugurated a newly constructed building and smart classrooms of the schools on the occasion.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State government is consistently improving the education system in Uttarakhand. He said that Uttarakhand became the first State in the country to implement the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and 141 PM Shri schools are being constructed in the State.

Dhami said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose residential schools are being constructed in the State and to ensure quality education, the State government has made the books of National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). The CM said that Lab on Wheels science labs are operating in the State to make the understanding of science better to the students. The State government is providing free textbooks to the students of Class I to XII. The government is also providing free uniforms, bags and shoes to the students. 

Twenty model colleges, nine colleges, women’s hostels and IT labs are being constructed in the State and appointment of teachers and assistant professors is being done in the schools and colleges of the State. Sports infrastructure worth crores of rupees has been set up in the State and the talented sports persons are encouraged by giving them scholarships.

 The State government has taken a historic decision to give government jobs to the sportsmen winning medals in the national level sports event. The government’s efforts have been reflected in the medal tally of the recently held National Games where the State won more than 100 medals.

 He said that the State government has implemented a tough anti-copying law which has ensured transparency in the recruitment process of government jobs.

Lauding the effort of Vidhya Bharati schools in the field of education in the State and country, the CM said that more than 500 schools of Vidhya Bharati are operating in the State and more than one lakh students are getting education in them. The network of these schools extends from Mana in Chamoli to Dharchula in Pithoragarh.

 He said that in the last three years more than 22,000 youngsters have got jobs in different departments of the State government. Dhami claimed that in the last three years no paper of competitive examination has leaked in the State which has brought back confidence in the young aspirants.

 The Prant Pracharak of RSS Shailendra, MLA Adesh Chauhan, Principal Lokendra Anthwal, Manager Ajay Sharma and others also addressed the programme.

Deshra Karnwal, BJP district president Ashutosh Sharma, former MLA Sanjay Gupta, district magistrate Karmendra Singh, SSP PS Dobhal and others attended the programme.
