State Govt sitting over subsidy of Apple farmers: Dhasmana

 The pradesh Congress Committee vice president Suryakant Dhasmana has claimed that the State government is sitting over a sum of Rs 42 crore of 545 apple farmers.

Addressing a Press conference here on Monday, Dhasmana said that under the Apple Mission the State government promised the farmers that they will receive a subsidy of 70 per cent from central government and 10 per cent from State government on setting up an apple orchard.

He said that many farmers set up apple orchards after taking loans from the banks. Dhasmana claimed that the State government has not released the subsidy of farmers even after two to five years. Dhasmana threatened that the Congress party will start an agitation if the government fails to pay the rightful dues of the apple farmers soon.
