Accusing the state government of trying to cover up the case involving the wife of health secretary and Dr Nidhi Uniyal, the Uttarakhand Congress has said that the insult of Dr Uniyal is the insult of women of Uttarakhand.
The media in charge of the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said on Monday that all the rules are being blatantly flayed in the rule of BJP in Uttarakhand. She said though chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has stopped the transfer of Dr Uniyal but the manner in which she was humiliated by the wife of the secretary has hurt the self pride of the people of the state. Dasauni said that it is the responsibility of the state government to safeguard the self respect of the people of the state. She demanded strict action in the case so that repetition of such incidents is prevented. She said that the constitution of the committee to inquire about the incident is an attempt to cover up on part of the government. Dasauni said that the government intends to stretch the case so that it is faded from the public memory.
