State launches telemedicine & e-Sanjeevani virtual OPD services

In view of the rising Covid cases in the state, the health department has launched a telemedicine and virtual OPD service. This facility will enable people in remote areas of the state to seek advice of health experts. The main aim of this service is to provide medical counselling to the patients in home isolation due to Covid. Health secretary Amit Singh Negi informed that OPD services have also been affected in various hospitals due to the Covid surge. In such a situation even the non-Covid patients will receive free consultation at home via tele medicine. Along with tele medicine, 12 specialist doctors of private hospitals in the state are also providing consultation. Regarding the virtual OPD, he said that this service can also be accessed via WhatsApp video call and toll free helpline. The state government has released the toll free number 104 along with the WhatsApp number 9412080622. In addition to these, this service can also be accessed through www.esanjeevaniopd.in/register
The virtual OPD will function daily from 9 AM to 6 PM seven days a week. The e-Sanjeevani virtual OPD will have cardiologist, ENT specialist, eye specialist, gynaecologist, child specialist and physician available for consultation.
