State Review Mission Team reviews health services under NHM in Uttarkashi

To review the implementation of health services under the National Health Mission (NHM), the State Review Mission Team led by the assistant director, NHM, Uttarakhand Dr Ajay Nagarkar visited Chinyalisaur, Dunda and Bhatwadi blocks of Uttarkashi district for three days. During the visit, the team inspected and evaluated the District Hospital (male and female wards), community health centres, primary health centres and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. Besides, it took stock of various programmes run under the National Health Mission at the community level.
The team specifically reviewed the following programmes: free medicine and diagnostic services, screening and management of non-communicable diseases, TB eradication programme and expanded package facility under Ayushman Arogya Mandir among others.
During the inspection, the team went door-to-door in the community and interacted directly with the common people.
After the review visit, a meeting was held by the team at the chief medical officer’s office.
