State witnesses some relief from chill, fog persists in plains

Temperatures in various parts of the State have been hovering above normal for a few days now. However, fog continues to pose a problem, especially in the plains, during the morning and night. The State meteorological has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail across the State on Friday. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky with mist/fog likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum temperature is likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Thursday were 22.1 degrees Celsius and 9.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 13.2 degrees Celsius and 10.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.6 degrees Celsius and 6.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.8 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. There was no significant rain or snowfall in the State on Thursday.
