In latest news from Uttarakhand, Special Task Force (STF) in a major breakthrough nabbed the life convict in the murder case of the investigative journalist J Dey identified as Deepak Balbir Singh Sisodia (50), who had fled to Nepal while on parole, from Banbasa in Champawat district near the Indo-Nepal border. Singh was a close aide to the underworld don Chhota Rajan. Uttarakhand police claimed that the arrest of this fugitive life convict marked a significant achievement under the Operation Prahar campaign focused on arresting fugitive criminals and those carrying bounty on their heads. Police further said that the life term fugitive had been arrested under the strategy firmed up by the senior superintendent of police, STF Ayush Agarwal.
