STF arrests more accused in UKSSSC paper leak case

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two more accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) exam paper leak case in the past two days. The STF has arrested a total of 32 accused so far in the case.
The STF arrested a police constable Vinod Joshi on Thursday who was posted in Uttarakhand Police in the Udham Singh Nagar district before the arrest. The senior superintendent of police (SSP) of STF Ajai Singh said that the accused Joshi is a resident of Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar and was arrested on the basis of the statements and evidence of the witnesses and accused arrested earlier. He said that his brother Manoj Joshi is another accused in the case who worked as a junior assistant and was arrested earlier by the STF and is presently in judicial custody. He further said that the accused Vinod and his brother Manoj provided a house in Kundeshwari to several aspirants a night before the examination where other accused helped them solve the question paper at night. Vinod has also been arrested on the evidence of taking several aspirants from one place to another in his car, added Singh.
The STF has also arrested another accused Rajbir, a local resident of Laksar in Haridwar on Friday who has been working as a junior assistant in Government Polytechnic at Hindolakhal, Tehri district. Singh said that the question paper was leaked by the accused Rajbir in Dhampur where he also took some aspirants of the exam from Haridwar rural area too. The accused was arrested on the basis of the statements of witnesses and technical evidence, said the SSP. He stated that the STF team is carrying out the investigation in various locations besides working on different angles of the case too. More such arrests can be expected in the future too as per Singh.
