Chargesheet against Hakam Singh and Chandan Manral to be filed soon: SSP

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) on Tuesday filed chargesheet of about 4,500 pages against six more accused for their alleged involvement in the recruitment scam of Village Panchayat Development Officer (VPDO) conducted by Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) in 2016. The senior superintendent of police of STF, Ayush Agrawal informed that STF filed the chargesheet in court against six accused including former UKSSSC chairman Raghu Bir Singh Rawat, former UKSSSC secretary Manohar Kanyal, exam controller RS Pokhariya, director of RMS Techno Solutions Private Limited which managed the printing of UKSSSC’s examination papers- Rajesh Chauhan along with two other accused and former RMS employees Sanjeev Chauhan and Vipin Bihari. He said that the STF has included strong scientific evidence against the accused along with other crucial proofs. All evidence implies tampering with OMR sheets during the exam which were included in the chargesheet too. The SSP said that STF has filed chargesheet against a total of nine accused in the VPDO recruitment scam case. The STF would soon file a chargesheet in the court against the three main accused in the case- Hakam Singh, Chandan Singh Manral and Kendrapal.
