STF makes 28th arrest in UKSSSC paper leak case

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has arrested 28th accused on Monday in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination paper leak case. The senior superintendent of police (SSP) of STF, Ajai Singh said that the accused, named Vipin Bihari, is an employee of RMS Techno Solutions Private Limited that manages the printing of UKSSSC’s examination papers. He is a resident of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh and has been working in the company since 2013. Singh said that the accused Vipin Bihari got a photocopy of the exam paper from another accused Abhishek Verma and gave it to accused Dinesh Joshi in Bareilly, said Singh. He informed that the Joshi is a retired assistant establishment officer (AEO) of Pantnagar University who had leaked the exam paper to some aspirants in Haldwani and nearby areas, due to which some students got a good position in the merit list in UKSSSC recruitment exam. The STF has already arrested Joshi and Verma in the case. The STF has arrested a total of 28 accused in this case so far including four accused in the past three days. The STF arrested Rajesh Chauhan, the owner of RIMS Company, Lucknow on Saturday for allegedly leaking the paper and carrying out a deal through other accused. Pradeep Pal, an accused of allegedly leaking the Secretariat Guard Recruitment Examination case was also arrested on Saturday for allegedly stealing paper through a pen drive from the commission’s office. The STF also nabbed another accused on the matter Shashikant on Sunday who is a UP resident but was currently living in Haldwani and has allegedly leaked the question paper to about 60 students. The SSP said that the STF team is carrying out an investigation to identify the aspirants indulged in the leaks and more arrests are expected in the future.
