Stinking water flowing in BD Pandey Hospital from blocked drain

The patients along with the doctors and staff members are at the receiving end of the mismanagement dogging the Government B D Pandey District Hospital. Soon after the problem of water dripping from the roof of the hospital building had been solved, the sewer line has been blocked.
The patients who throng the hospital daily in large numbers from far and near said that stinking sewer water had been flowing on the main road near the general ward and ground floor office of the hospital. The dirt having reached the ward through the veranda, the risk of infection has increased. The staff members said that they were facing difficulty in working in the ground office, given the stink.
Upon receiving the complaint of sewer blockage near the hospital, the administration informed the department concerned to have it cleared at the earliest. The principal medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Tarun Kumar Tamta assured that the work of repairing the sewer line had started and the problem would be solved soon.
