Having a fascination and venturing into unknown territory have been the common factors when it comes to teenage love. In her book titled Mellow Heart, the writer Khushi Gupta has depicted the thought process of a teenager through Sevoren Appter who loves to criticise love stories as somewhere we are made to believe the fragility of love by our well-wishers. The portrayal of a sarcastic teenager by Gupta gives the story an edge. The attitude of the main character who maintains her calm even when she is stuck with the person whom she hates the most gives the reader an account of a teenager’s iron will.
