Under the awareness and skill development programme, teachers and students of Heerawati Madhawanand Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Shantipuri No 2 made an educational visit to Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology (UCB), Haldi. UCB sources said that the purpose of the visit was to promote biotechnology in education and research along with developing scientific thinking in the students. The students were further informed about how to develop a spirit of entrepreneurship on the unfolding possibilities of biotechnology.
In compliance with the guidelines of UCB director, Sanjay Kumar, the scientists – Manindra Mohan, Kanchan Karki and Sumit Purohit- jointly made the students aware of the research work going on in the council and inspired them to develop a future in biotechnology. Besides, they instructed the students on forensic science and nano-biotechnology.
