Two students of the School of Design of UPES have brought laurels for the university. While Shivam Anand, a student of transportation and mobility design has won the CII Young Designers Award 2021 for his futuristic mobility design project, Aayush Bijalwan from School of Design at UPES bagged the first prize at the Call of Design Season II in 2020, a contest run by TVS Motor Company.
Shivam’s project ‘Motion’ focussed on designing a shared mobility transport system for the future – Rapid Transit Mobility Pods, especially as a response to the pandemic. Aayush Bijalwan designed a swanky version of the TVS NTORQ calling it the SuperNTORQ and won the TVS NTORQ 125 and cash prize. A student of Transportation Design at UPES, he said “It was a great opportunity and a huge platform to showcase our skills. My rendition of the TVS NTORQ is an electric scooter built for high-performance and racing with an advanced power system. The scooter looks futuristic, innovative but is also usable and feasible.”
