In latest Uttarakhand news, the ropeway service to Surkanda Devi Temple would remain suspended from August 17 to 28, informed the Tehri district tourism development officer Atul Bhandari, adding that this is due to the annual routine check-up. He further said that the step is an imperative in view of the safety concerns involving the people who avail it to ascend and descend the revered temple atop a hill.
