The State BJP Mahila Morcha conferred Sushma Swaraj Award on some women in recognition of their excellent works in myriad fields in Chamoli on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on 10 March.
The State president of BJP Mahila Morcha Asha Nautiyal said that the women should take inspiration from the late leader Sushma Swaraj who embodied the women strength. In all, 11 women were bestowed with the award. The awardees include Sashi Devi, Vimla Sharma, Sashi Kandwal, Haimati Parmar, Punam Khatri, Rajni Negi, Lalita Devi, Kamala Rawat and Soni Mishra.
