To mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Municipal Corporation of Kashipur organised several important programmes as part of the conclusion of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
This day was dedicated to the achievements of this campaign, run under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the civic body officials said. Motorcycle rally and rangoli were among the programmes organised on the occasion. Principals, teachers and students of several schools aside from members of social organisations and self-help groups participated in these programmes.
