The Sports minister Rekha Arya assured the Union Youth Affairs and Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya that the State government will fully participate in the organisation of the Swachhata Pakhwada programme to be held on September 17 across India. She said this during a virtual meeting held on Wednesday with all the Youth Affairs and Sports ministers of all the States.
During the meeting, Mandaviya discussed the programmes which will be organised under the Swachhata Pakhwada on September 17. The said fortnight will commence on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He directed the ministers that cleanliness programmes should be organised in all schools across India with the help of NSS, NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides volunteers, he added.
Arya assured the Union minister that the State government will successfully conduct the programme under Swachhata Pakhwada. She added that members of Yuvak and Mahila Mangal Dal associated with the Youth Welfare department will also provide support in the said programme. The Sports department will also help in organising various programmes in this fortnight with the aim of promoting the fit India movement. Registration of all the youth and players participating under the said Swachhata Pakhwada will also be done on the ‘My Bharat Portal’.
