The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme has been introduced at Swami Rama Himalayan University in the current academic year. The university officials said that in contemporary times, pharmacy practice is covering areas such as hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and clinical pharmacy. They further said that this programme would enable the students to gain in-depth knowledge of different dosage forms, pharmacology, herbs in pharmacognosy, clinical trials, drug development and therapeutics.
The admission seekers for this newly introduced programme have been asked to visit the campus and interact with the counsellors in the admission cell of the university. The university officials claimed that on completion of this course, the students would land in a wide range of career opportunities in retail and wholesale pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, research and development, quality control, quality assurance and consultancy. Also, they may be employed as drug analysts and pharmacists in the Central Government organisations, the university officials informed.
The university has also announced merit scholarship with upto 100 per cent of tuition fees, merit cum means scholarship with upto 50 per cent of tuition fees and special scholarship with upto 100% of tuition fees for the wards of the armed force, para- military force and police force personnel (serving and retired). Besides, a special scholarship with 100 per cent tuition fees for the differently abled candidates has also been announced for the newly introduced programme.
