SWWS runs donation drive for underprivileged women & children

Sanguine We Care Welfare Society (SWWS), a national-level Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), conducted a donation drive for underprivileged children and women at a mall in Dehradun on Wednesday. The organisers conducted the drive while following the Covid-19 guidelines with several citizens donating various items for the deprived women and children of the society.
SWWS north zone head Nirmala Semwal opined that one derives the most happiness from helping others. She exhorted the public to help those in need in order to maximise their own happiness also.
The founder and the president of the organisation, Kanchan Negi informed that SWWS collected toys, clothes and footwear through this drive which would be distributed among the needy women and children of rural Anganwadi centres, orphanages, child homes and slums. She said that all the items donated in the drive would be thoroughly sanitised before being distributed among the needy. Talking about the cause of the organisation, the Dehradun head of SWWS, Imran Khan said that the organisation works to bring positive changes in the society by aiming at the betterment of women and children besides working in the field of environment. Meanwhile, the organisers also informed that the officials of the Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) department also assisted them in organising this event for the welfare of underprivileged women and children.
