Take back freeze order on 102 posts in power corporations- Dasauni

Member of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress, Garima Dasauni has demanded that the state government should take back the order to freeze 102 posts in Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL). She said that the Congress government had issued the notification for recruitment of 250 posts in UPCL and PTCUL in the year 2016 but the BJP government in the last five years has failed to complete the process of recruitment. She said that the government has reduced 102 posts in the drive.
Dasauni said that more than 8000 applicants appeared in the examination held on February 8, 2018 but after that the matter was taken to the court. The Uttarakhand High Court (HC) ordered cancellation of the examination in December 2020 and on its order examination was again conducted on January 10, 2021 the result of which was declared recently. In it the government reduced 102 posts ( 62 UPCL and 42 in PTCUL). Questioning the motive behind reduction in posts and demanded that these posts should be restored immediately considering the future of the youths.
